Who Else Wants Make Sleeping In Winter No Problem?
The weather experts are telling us how crazy cold this winter is supposed to be. But so far across most of the country, this month of December has been incredibly warm compared to what you would think it should be. But winters that start all warm tend to become insanely cold when January rolls around, the deep winter months.
So if the really cold temperatures are coming, you need to be prepared so you can sleep well at night. The ways to do this are going to go against everything you have learned in the past.
1. Your Fireplace is Amazing
It's surprising to see that there are a lot of people that don't use their fireplace as much as they should in the winter. Granted it can make a mess and be tough to watch but the heat it gives off is a valuable asset to staying warm. Depending on how your home was built, just one fire can do an incredible job of keeping the whole place warm or at least a floor warm. Plus it will really save on your energy bill.
2. No More Blankets On The Bed
It's a natural thing to do, stack on blanket after blanket to help keep you warm during the night. However, this is bad for your sleep because it causes you to get incredibly hot which in turn will wake you up and make it very difficult to get back to sleep.
Your best bet is to use a bedding material that is proven to be insulate really well. What you should really try is pure silk sheets which are really amazing for this purpose. They are very light but they are very good at using your body heat to keep you really warm. Any excess heat that you produce is typically handled by it's ability to breath and help get rid of any moisture on your skin.
3. Don't Wear Too Much Pajamas
When it comes to what you wear to bed, this can be very difficult part of sleeping when it's very cold outside. You can wear no pajamas and stay very warm but getting out of bed is incredibly hard. I suggest silk or bamboo pajamas to wear. Then can keep you very warm just like the bedding but they will not have you get too hot while you are actually in bed which is an important consideration. What you really need is a robe that you can immediately put on once you get out of bed, that will keep you as warm as possible when you wake up.
