Most of us will have days when we feel tired and have no energy. This is normal and there can be many reasons for this. Chronic fatigue syndrome is more extreme, it is when we feel tired every day and cannot understand why. The condition does not improve even after rest, if not treated then the disorder can cause many problems. This can include absenteeism from school or work, feelings of anxiety and irritability, and a decrease in the ability to drive.

If you get in front of the wheel of a car and drive when you are feeling very tired the chance of having an accident dramatically increase.

If your tiredness is not lessening with a change in lifestyle then maybe you should seek medical help. In many people feeling sleepy can be down to a poor diet or lack of exercise. If any health issue is prolonged then it is important to seek treatment. There are prescription medications and natural remedies that can be used to alleviate some of the symptoms of chronic fatigue.

There are various factors which may lead you to have chronic fatigue syndrome. It could be the side effects of a surgery or infection. There is no actual cure currently known. The treatments and techniques that are generally offered will address the symptoms rather than the actual problem.

It is essential that if you have any health complaint for a prolonged time, you should make an appointment to see a GP. You may feel that the discomfort and symptoms are not serious enough but if a mild problem persists it may develop into something more serious. Chronic fatigue syndrome and the associated symptoms can get worse if not taken care of.
